It's that time again! October is here and if you're in Lexington that means only one thing: Keeneland. Keenland's fall meet starts this Friday! For those who don't know, Keeneland is one of the premiere horse tracks in the US and it happens to be located right down the road! It's only open two months out of the year, and October is one of them!
For college students, Keeneland is a time to dress up, take pictures, drink (if 21), and bet some money on horses. Some take betting more seriously then others of course. But most of my friends bet on a horse they think has a cool name or looks the best before the meet.
Fall and Spring meets bring very different clothing choices, just like any season would. Fall consists of darker, warmer colors, long sleeves, quilted jackets, boots, scarfs, and tights. Where spring brings bight colors, vibrant patterns, and sun dresses. The good thing about global warming (and living in the south) is by the time Fall meet starts, there's still warm weather! With this warmer weather in mind, I've come up with a few dresses that would be perfect to wear to Keenland fall meet! Check it out:
