Striped Tuesday
This is one of my favorite "throw it on and go" dresses. It's from Target, it's blue and it's striped. So you really can't go wrong. This is a perfect dress to run errands in, go see a baseball game or to go out in! It all just depends how you accessorize it. Work at MLB is super casual. I mean guys wear tshirts, jeans and sneakers. So that means I have to decide to keep my normal style of dresses and wedges or have a more relaxed look of jeans and flats. I think for now I'll keep a good mix of the two. It's nice to know I don't always have to be super dressed up for work. That way I'm able to have more options! Take a look:

Wish List Wednesday: Shoes
I don't know why, but recently I've been obsessing over shoes. Maybe it's the three story DSW near me or maybe it's simply being in New York. Either way it's not good for my budget. So for now, I'll just look from afar. Take a look:
As you might have seen on instagram, I actually did buy this pair above. It was a welcome to New York present to myself, something that needed to be done. Once I tried these shoes on I knew I had to get them. They're perfect for work and walking around the city!

Gingham and White
One of the many things I love about New York is having every shop at my fingertips. One in particular is ZARA. I swear they're on every corner here and I love it. I've been debating this skirt/short for some time now and I finally bit the bullet and got them. I really love the crisp white color and how different this bottom is. If someone told me a month ago I'd be wearing a skort, I'd call them crazy. But here I am, skort and all...
Skirt: Zara/Top: Ralph Lauren (boys) on sale!/Shoes: Steve Madden/Purse: Hermes/Watch: Michael Kors/Bracelts: David Yurman, Stella&Dot
There's something very preppy and clean about a gingham button up and white. Not to mention adding the brown to tie it all together and give it that classic look. I love this button up and my secret is that it's a boys large! For some reason they decide to make the cutest prints for boys and leave the girls behind. So instead, I just buy a boys shirt and also save some money!
I'm also featuring Jeffery on the blog today! He's one of the best dressed guys I've met yet in the city. I wanted him to join in on the photo shoot so I can show his style off. Seriously, how cute is he!

Apartment Tour: Part 1
As you all know by now, I'm settled in to New York! As promised, here is part 1 of my apartment tour: My bedroom. Since I'm living downtown, space is limited so technically by bedroom is my whole room, but I'm going to break it up into parts anyway. I live in a little alcove studio in Manhattan and so far I love my place! All of the furniture is from Ikea and I put it together myself! So I'm pretty proud of that. Take a look:
I couldn't find a headboard so instead, I decided to use a mirror which also helps to make the room look bigger. By the window is the AC which makes a large window sill. For now I made it a little place for Dixie or myself to sit. I'm also waiting on the rest of my bedding (the duvet cover will also have my monogram.) from Pottery Barn.
Next to the bed is my nightstand (also from Ikea) that holds all of my jewelry and nail polish and what not. And at the end of my bed there are two footstools with storage inside. They're a great way to store things like blankets and towels. Small apartments are all about hidden storage! Even the bed is a storage bed where I have extra clothes like nike shorts, tshirts, and sweats. The drawers are huge which is really nice.
The (dark and rainy) view from my window:
Next is an idea I saw on pinterest: using a bookshelf for shoe storage. I always hate how I've stored my shoes in the past, but this time I really love it! This bookshelf is for my heels and boots (not everything fit on here so I have more storage elsewhere). To organize it, I started with boots on the bottom, then wedges, then heels. I also tried to organize them by color (the best I could). Then on top, I store my boxes.
I hope you like the first part of the room! Excited to share the rest :) Do you have extra tips for room storage? I'd love to hear!

Friday Finds: Brgr
Since I moved to the city I thought it'd be fun to do a "Friday Finds" every Friday, just talking about my favorite places I've found around the city. In New York there is an abundance of anything you ever want or need which is awesome, but at times can be very overwhelming. Today's find is a burger place called: Brgr
It's super close to my apartment so that's how I stumbled upon Brgr. For my Lexington peeps, it's a lot like smashburger. For all else, it's a lot like five guys. Aka: pretty good. It's all grass fed and hormone free beef. It's a little pricey, but I think it's worth it. If you're ever in town and decide you don't want shake shack, head on over to Brgr!
Next Friday I'll have another place! I hope you enjoy :)
