Things I love: Lilly Pulitzer

So for those of you who know me, my love for Lilly is no new thing. I enjoy bright colors and bold prints and that's what Lilly is all about! I don't just love all of her clothes, but the community of followers! I have met a lot of people who share the same love (aka obsession) for Lilly as I do! They're great and wonderful people, some who I haven't even met but love just as much! (I'm talking to you Lisa and Susan!) We talk about life in general and how people (mostly boyfriends and husbands) don't understand why we dish out so much $$ for a dress. But it's just just a dress, its so much more!

In my closet I have all of clothes organized by shirts: tank to long sleeve and color, skirts by color, shorts by color, jackets by color, and dresses by tank to long sleeve and color as well. But in this organizational closet, there is a front row spot for all of my Lilly dresses! People might think I'm crazy, but I put them right in front of where the door opens. That way when my closet it open, I can see all my Lilly from my bedroom. I mean when I'm not wearing them, it always makes me happy to look at them! I remember there was a TSM a while ago saying something along the lines of "I like to have my money where I can see it...Hanging in my closet." I giggled the first time I read that, because it's SO true!

Now on to the main event! Before you go and look at these pictures I want to tell you one thing. I haven't paid full price for all of them! So don't drop your jaw and start calculating how much I've spent on this collection. I can tell you right now, it's a lot. BUT not as much as it should be!

You might be asking yourself- 'How does she not pay full price for designer dresses?' Well let me share my secret! Other than huge sales at Lilly Pulitzer Via Shops, eBay, consignment stores, department stores and pure luck, there is this facebook site called Re-Lilly.

One day a wonderful and very smart woman named Sue Trader (a Lilly Lover) decided to make a facebook page where people can sell and trade their new, gently used, or worn Lilly's!!! What a great idea right?! I mean you can find NEW WITH TAG dresses for more than half off! I have sold over 30 dresses through this site and probably bought even more! This community of almost 9,000 people are some of the best out there! Everyone I have met and talked to have been so sweet, nice and caring! It's a great place to for buyers and sellers! Great rules, safe, and fun! Check it out if you haven't already! You can find it under my list of "Stores I LOVE!" on the left hand side or right here!

Okay, so on to the good stuff! Here are all the pieces in my closet! I used to have more, but after wearing somethings once, you need money to buy new things!! Enjoy :)

The first batch of pictures are all the ones I have pictures of myself in!

These are all the ones I either don't have pictures in, or haven't worn yet!

And last but not least, my very FIRST Lilly dress. Will have it forever and always!

always,

You are wearing black sunglasses and a brown belt; what style Lilly is that? Thanks! Can't wait to read more!
