Choosing the Right Look for Your Day

I first heard about Warby Parker at the IFB conference and I fell in love with the company. It's so much more than just buying glasses. Take a look:

Choosing the appropriate look and outfit for wherever you are going is crucial for success and functionality. Whether heading to the office to spend the day around a conference table, or hitting the town to run errands - dressing stylish, with your agenda for the day in mind, can easily be accomplished with a little planning.

Dressing for success at work is essential. Flying in by the seat of your pants, with your hair messily pulled out of your face, and wearing whatever somewhat matching clothes that were within your arm's reach, will not win points with your, or anyone else's, boss. To ensure maximum style and sophistication that exudes confidence in the workplace, lay out a well-put together ensemble the night before, and you will not have to worry about it in your crazy morning rush. For example, consider pulling together a cut blazer with a feminine blouse and a pencil skirt. While getting the outfit ready, pick out your shoes and accessories as well. A pair of heels, an over-sized watch, pearl studs and a smart pair of eyeglasses will give the ensemble a completed feel.

Hitting the town to run errands, or spend the day shopping and lunching with friends, does not require as much prep time, but you still want to achieve a stylish look for the day. Pairing skinny jeans or leggings with a tee and a brightly colored cardigan will give a good dose of style to your leisurely day around town. Adding printed flats can give unexpected flair to your outfit, and you can top everything off with a large bag, layers of bracelets and an over-sized pair of sunglasses. Keep in mind the order of the day, and do not wear anything that does not feel comfortable when lots of walking is required. Remember, confidence and style go hand in hand, so you must feel good in whatever you choose to wear.
