Peplum

I know I'm a little behind the times here, but today's post is all about Peplum. If you're like me and hearing it for the first time you might ask yourself what the heck is that? Well dear readers, I'm here to help inform! Peplum, also known as an overskirt, is an elongated hem resembling a short skirt, worn to lay over another garment. I like to think of it as a flare to your shirt! 

I know this type of style is growing in popularity in shirts, skirts and dresses, but I've never been a fan because I wasn't sure how it would look on me! I'm more of a athletic/curvy body shape and I always thought this style would just make my hips look bigger! But boyyyy was I wrong.

We received new inventory at BlueTique and the cutest little peplum top came in! So I had to try it on of course! And like always, I fell in love. It didn't make me look bigger, it hugged in all the right places and was a cute way to wear a top! I'll be posting pictures soon to the blog so y'all can check it out.
